My sis is back in the hospital with another diverticulitus attack (I think I spelled that right) and the doctors can't seem to get the infection under control. She has been on a strict diet of what foods she can and cannot eat, so as not to irratate the digestive tract. Her name is Jane, and she lives in central B. C., and many of you know that I vacation up there with her and her family every July. The small town she lives in isn't equipped to run tests like CT scans, so she'll have to be transported to a larger city 175 miles away to have this done.
My sister is a shut-in, confined to a wheelchair, and not too ambulatory. Her last surgery two Christmas's ago for a second hip replacement is the last surgery here doctors say she can have, as she had a tough time coming through it. She is 85 years old, a year older than myself, and I'm quite concerned about her. She and I grew up together as kids on a farm in eastern Washington, and we have been close sisters and best friends all our lives. She raised seven of eight children, and her family grew into a small village of itself! Needless to say, all of us are greatly concerned about her, and a chain of prayers from family, friends and strangers everywhere would be most welcome...

My thoughts and prayers are with both your sister and you; my last remaining sister is my very best friend and I can totally understand your concern for her. There's a very special sister bond that only grows stronger through the years. {{Hugs}}
Liz, I am so sorry I am late finding out about this. How are things going, now? I will certainly keep you and your sister in my prayers.
