At last!

Our 40 yr old DS has completed requirements AND has been granted a Bachelor of Science from the UI. He began this degree 16 years ago, but business & family got in the way. He has taken courses at the local Jr. college for the last 3 years in order to complete the requirements. When I asked if they were going to mail it to him, he replied that he'll take part in ceremonies in May, wants to set a good example for his 2 girls. This is the kid who refused to take part in his HS graduation, just had the diploma mailed. His next move will be to get certified to teach Science in Jr. Hi.

I am so proud of him for hanging in there and pursuing his dreams.

You have every right to be proud Jacquie. That is a great accomplishment. I hope my Mason wants to further his career when the time comes. And I hope we can help him achieve his goals.

Of course, right now his biggest goal is talking me into taking him to Chuckie Cheese. And he hasn't reached that one yet. I heard it was very loud, very expensive, and the food isn't that great.

But congrats to your DS!
