My DN Ann
Sharelyee,Urgent - can you tell me exactly where your niece was? Our DS is going out of his head worrying about the church school he has been helping to build every year. No word, but it looks like the area was hit hard.
Hi, Shareylee! So sorry we missed your birthday yesterday! I've been very lax in keeping track of these important dates, but have checked out my list now and am marking my calendar for 2010!
What a wonderful way to spend your birthday, with weather permitting, pricing things for your new kitchen! How I'd love to do the same for my kitchen, to make it more "user-friendly", but then it wouldn't hold the glamour of an "old country kitchen", and I probably wouldn't be happy with things too modern...lol
How wonderful that your DMom was able to remember your birthday and phone you! I hope you had a positive conversation with her...
I'm so glad your DN on the island of Haiti is safe in her mountain clinic a safe distance from the main devastation in Port Au Prince. Prays going out to keep her and those around her safe from any aftershocks, etc.
I'm glad to hear you have ventured into Facebook, Sharey, and just remember, you can set your pages to 'private' and only certain 'friends (+ relatives)' will view your site. I've been on "FB" since a year ago last August, as most of my adult family in Canada are there, and this is a fantastic means of keeping track of them hour by hour—practically—and that's important to me. Although I spend quality time there, I still devote much of my online time to iVillage, my first choice, and of course my email, of which I have a couple addresses to keep up with.
Feel free to add me in your 'friends' if you like, I'm known by 'Liz Gee' and you'll recognize me right off if you click on the black cat image and see my picture.
It is 53º here at present, I've had literally no measurable snow this winter so far, and the coldest temps were back in December when the thermometer dropped to 12º and I was caring for 3 horses out in the pasture. It was not my chore, but I couldn't wait for owners to show up and feed and water, and the horses appreciated my help.
It's always so much fun reading your posts, for you have so much news, I almost feel I'm right there with you, warming my hands around a cup of tea! Do come back and visit us again real soon! HUGGS....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHAREYLEE!
