Sniffing and blowing.... I have a cold!

Good morning, Ladies. I have checked in yesterday and today, but haven't posted replies. But I am here, struggling thru having caught a cold which settled in on Monday. So I'm dosed up on medicine (or should that be doped?). Drinking tea, sipping chicken soup, blowing my nose...

It rained overnight, but when we got up and I opened the blinds, it was snowing! Great big huge flakes!! It snowed, rained, snowed, rained, then hailed. Now the sun is peaking thru the clouds. Typical spring weather.

DH is off taking my Aunt on a shopping expedition, since I'm 'sick', and don't want to expose her. I am getting a little laundry done, and need to work on the ironing this afternoon. Might as well try to get something done since I am trying not to have to go anywhere.

Hope you all have a good day! Guess I should go look at how to set up (update?) my profile. My attention span is a little short, what with my head being stuffed, and the drugs! hehe! I'll check in later! Dovie

I hope that cold gets better soon. Spring colds are the worst.

Hugs, Ellen

Hi Becky! We got a little thunder today, too. The clouds looked really black a couple of times, and we got hail or rain, but only briefly. I've stayed in, so guess I'm just as happy it wasn't a beautiful sunny day, or I'd have wanted to be outside too. I have crocuses in bloom, and tulips are sending up their leaves... spring has to be here soon! Dovie

Dianne, thanks for reminding me about the lemon and honey. I DO have tea... several varieties, like you, but I forgot the lemon and honey. That was Mom's standard remedy for coughs when I was a kid. Just mix lemon and honey in a teaspoon and swallow. I love it in tea, too. I'm actually feeling reasonable, considering, am taking cold medicine, and I have a bottle of Amoxicillin that we got in Mexico... taking some of that just in case. Monday night I ran a fever, and felt chilled half the night, but that has improved. I haven't been sick at all this winter, so guess I was due for something. Dovie

Now, you should get into bed and stay there for the day! Drink lots of hot tea with lemon and honey in it. Hey, I feel fine, but that sounds good! I think I'll do that myself! I have Green Tea, Jasmine Tea, Lipton Tea, Decaffinated Tea! I even have instant tea with lemon in it. I'm off to the water kettle! LOL

Feel better soon, Dovie!

Our weather was beautiful this morning and early afternoon, but now the temps have dropped about 20 degrees and it is pouring rain. Supposed to have thunder storms this evening.
