Are you kidding, live it up, you are only 30, you are young. It is a great age you are still able to have fun and enjoy life, you have experience on your side now and yet you still have the looks and the health to enjoy it. I think your mom was making you feel guilty because she wanted you to spend time with her for your birthday. Sounds like something my mom would do.

No way, life is far too short and we all really need to make the most of it. You are like me and only go out a few times a year so its not exactly a habit.
