Depressed and living in despair

I am not a doctor or clinician of any kind. I am a 37 year old woman in a similar situation. And maybe its depression or maybe marriage just sucks. Or maybe both. I find married life disapointing and lonely. My husband is a nice enough person. None of the bad stuff like drugs or violence etc. But it seems like he can barely handle taking care of himself without his mothers help and he is 43. Much less help me with anything. So I often feel like I am forced into this martyr role. Because I refuse to nag. He is always too tired or just plain forgets just about everything! Raising young children is difficult. You need a support network. I need a support network. Unfortunately my family lives on the otherside of the country. But you are not alone.
