Do you worry about signs of aging yet?

I'm not really one to notice signs of aging, but I ran into someone from high school last night who was a year or two younger than I am.

I don't worry about signs of aging, but I want to take care of my skin now so that I don't have to in the future.

A friend of mine told me that she uses a homemade mixture of castor oil and olive oil as a cleanser. I might give that a try. I hate that I always have to find a new cleanser in the colder months because my regular stuff starts to dry out my skin.

I've noticed quite a few people around my age showing signs of aging. I think this is the time that the way you took care of yourself over the last several years starts to show up.

I completely accept however I age, but I'm very committed to a nutritious diet, don't smoke or intake any other garbage that would show up on my skin. Thank heavens. But yeah I do have the hormonal gift of occasional acne on my chin. At 34 that's really embarrassing. Oh well. Tea tree oil takes care of it pretty well.

I also wash my face with oils! I haven't used store bought cleanser for over a year now. - I have a tube of st ives microderm abrasion cleanser to use anytime I feel like using something which has been just a few times over the last several months.

I exfoliate my skin about once per month with baking soda. Just a very tiny bit in the palm of the hand, made into paste with water. Gently massage around your face. It's amazing the skin cells that rolled off my face. I couldn't believe it. After my first experience with this exfoliator I decided it would be a regular part of my beauty regimen.

I also use apple cider vinegar as a toner every other day.<---this has really gotten the acne on my chin under control. I used to get acne on this one spot on my chin every stinkin month but I no longer do. Granted there is still some acne but it's not near as often and it's much more manageable, hardly noticeable.

I LOVE my natural regimen. :)

I think sunblock is also important.

Nope, but thats because most people still assume I'm about 8 years younger than I really am. I have a good skin care regimen and use sunblock regularly so that definitely helps. The only thing that probably bugs me is my teeth aren't as white as they used to be and this is due to a daily tea habit, not a lack of dental hygiene. The whitening toothpaste helps, but I'll probably ask my dentist about a whitening treatment on my next visit.

I did the whitening trays about 6 years ago and I drink tea, red wine, soda, and they are still white! I do not recommend the laser treatment.

Geez that shows how little I know about teeth whitening...I didn't even know there was a laser treatment. I figured you could go with the over the counter strips or go to your dentist for the trays. Had you tried the laser treatment before and not liked it?

I do worry because I see the signs of aging. I take good care of my skin but I could do it better so I'm going to take it up a notch. I'm inconsistent with my regimen and being consistent is key. Plus, the worrying bit doesn't help either lol.
