Happy Friday!

I thought I would post a positive message for once. I'm so happy it's Friday!!! My Mom is coming to visit tomorrow and I have three days off from work next week. We are going to get massages, watch movies, get some cooking lessons (me), do a lot of nothing!! And I wrapped up most of my project early so today should be pretty easy...and I'm finally getting past this cold I've had for two weeks (anyone else have, "the cough?")

I need to get my butt back into shape though. Feeling very blobish after holiday eating and lack of exercise (my cold, remember?) I did yoga yesterday and it just felt so good to stretch out and open up. It's easy to take working out for granted. I'm going to Costa Rica in march for a surf camp so I need to be ready for that!

Anyway, hope you'll post your thoughts for today!

It sounds like you've got a wonderful time planned for next week! I hope you and your mom have a good time!

Surf camp, eh? I've never tried surfing, and no matter how hard I try, I can't picture myself hitting the waves (well, actually, I can picture myself hitting all kinds of stuff!). How long have you been surfing?

It's been kind of a rough week for me, but I'm trying to keep my eye on lots of exciting things happening in the future. Of course, there are the holidays, which I always enjoy. Plus, my birthday's in 2 weeks, and DH is taking me out for dinner and to a concert; I can't wait!

The thing I'm most looking forward to is a trip DH and are taking in March to London. We haven't been on a vacation in almost 3 years, we never had a honeymoon, next year is our 5 year anniversary, and, well, we'd really like to visit London; these are all the reasons we're going! We spend a little bit of time each day going over brochures and surfing the net checking out all the different stuff to do. It's a nice break from everyday stress!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Jennifer:)

If I foget...happy birthday ahead of time!

I only took one surf lesson in Hawaii last year. It was a lot of fun so a couple of friends of mine decided to go this year to a camp and learn. I'm a little afraid of jelly fish and sharks though.

I'm glad you and your hubby are planning a trip. Planning a vacation can be as fun as going I think. I do that all the time. I look at a map, pick a place that looks interesting, then start researching the place and pick a time in my life when I want to go..regardless of cost. Things like that will come eventually and with careful planning I think. My bf doesn't like to travel much, but I'm trying to convince him to go to Ireland next September. He has always wanted to go there. If not, I continue to travel alone, with friens, or a tour where I meet people...just one of those things I have to accept about him!

BTW, I realized today I'm seriously addicted to peanut butter. I take one spoonful, but then I can't stop!! I just threw away the jar! :)

I wanna come! A message sounds great! Hope you have an awesome time with your mom....mine just left on Sunday...and I hadn't seen her since last March as she lives halfway across the country. But its great to get time together!

Happy soon birthday Jen....dinner and a concert sound like fun too! I'm thinking of hitting DH up for a drive down to Monterey...even if its just for some CLam Chowder and fresh air!

I'm happy today because DH has finally had enough of the BS at his work and is looking for a new job. YEA!!! A whole bunch of S**T went down earlier this week, and three other people walked out as a result. DH has been miserable there for the last 3 1/2 years...and his misery has been pretty tough on the whole family. He works in the computing industry in the Silicon Valley and unfortunately the jobs in California...particularly in the Silicon Valley, have been scarce over the last couple of years...he felt lucky that he hadn't been layed off with countless others, within the company as well as throughout the area. But, he's finally had enough and now he's making a move. He submitted a bunch of resumes on-line Wednesday night, and the phone has been ringing a lot already.....and he already has several interviews set up for next week. So, even though its a stressful time, I'm thrilled that he's finally doing something about it. :)
