Hey there-

Today I went to the doctor because my heart has been feeling like it was skipping a beat. I had this about 4 years ago and it lasted about 4 months then went away completly till now. I had an EKG and wore a holter monitor at the time and everything came back normal. Anyway, my new doctor told me I had a heart mumur and that it's nothing to worry about, but they were going to give me an ultra sound for my heart just as a precaution. It's kind of freaking me out that I might have something wrong with me at 33!!! Does anyone else have this problem or the heart fluttering feeling? Just want to know I'm not alone!

Listen to your doctor; I'm sure there's nothing to worry about!

My Mom was diagnosed with a heart murmur several years ago, and aside from the fluttering feeling she gets, she's not in any real danger. Doctors don't mess around when it comes to the heart; I'm sure they're just doing an ultra sound to be extra sure the murmur is the only problem.

Keep us posted on what you find out from the doctor.

Jennifer:)

Thanks! The heart fluttering feeling is pretty scary, but I have to remind myself that it will just go away on it's own and that there is not anything wrong with me. Funny thing is, during times of stress (recently made a major move and have had job crazieness)my body does fine. It's only when things start to finally calm down that my body does weird things like this. Does it seem that women suffer from cronic this and cronic that but nothing is ever serious? Like frequent headaches, IBS, etc? And I exercise pretty regularly and eat fairly well. My bf, who never exercises and eats like crap seems to feel good most of the time. Of course that could catch up to him later in life and I try to gently get him to exercise with me to no avial! Anyway, I'm just ranting but it does seem that at one point every day it seems there is something just a little bit wrong with me healthwise. why is that?
