What stores do you like to shop at during the holidays?  Do you find yourself doing more online shopping this year?

I'm heading out in a couple of hours to go shopping with some girlfriends, very excited about it!

I typically head to the mall(s) where everything is in one place. I prefer physically shopping where I can enjoy the experience with my girlfriends - shopping+laughing+good conversation+good food :) Online shopping, for me, is reserved for hard to find items or fabulous deals. Hope you had a great time with your girlfriends :)

Maybe it's because I never really had fun shopping with my mom, but I generally don't like shopping with other people. I'm a bargain hunter, and I tend to think that other women want to browse and will spend more than I would ever spend. So, it just seems easier for me to shop on my own, whether it's at stores or online. I am also a thrift store shopper, and I can't imagine many people know that my closet is full of thrift store finds or that they would ever buy things secondhand. While I generally don't buy non-new things for gifts, I will buy holiday decorations for my home at thrift stores.

I'm currently waiting for my expense reports to be approved and paid so that I'll be able to really start my present shopping :)

I occasionally hit the thrift stores to see what I can find.    I picked up a couple of boxes of canning jars for $3 yesterday that I'm going to try making some of these crafts to use as gifts:
