How do you have time to do anything?

I knew I was worn out, but I just realized that I only really have 30 minutes during the day to just relax and do something for myself.

I get up at 5:00 am and spend 1 1/2 hours getting myself and my son dressed and have breakfast before we have to leave for work/daycare. 30 minutes in the car to get to work/daycare and then 30 minutes at the end of the day to get home. As soon as we get home at 6 pm, it's cooking supper, eating, giving my son a bath, play/read books w/ him until he goes to sleep at 8:30. Then, by the time I get him to sleep and get my own shower, I have 30 minutes before I have to go to bed. I really need to find some more time during the day to exercise or do something for myself (extra time to shave my legs, paint my nails, read more than one page in a book- something!). How do y'all make time for yourselves?

I am in awe. This is one reason I could never cope with having children, as much as I adore them. I get up at 7.40, leave by 8.40, at work by 10 am (around an hour + commute each way), am home by 19.00 - totally exhausted and drained -, shower, chores,

Ugh! I know how you feel. I work from home, but I have two kids (ages 2 and 6) so it's still a juggling act. Luckily, I can have my 6 year-old watch the younger one so I can take a shower. My husband is a huge help, so when he gets home from work and gets settled in I'll usually go do something by myself for an hour (or less). It might be a walk, I might take the dog to the dog park, run to the library, use the elliptical downstairs, etc.

Is it realistic to move Sebastian's bedtime up to 8:00 instead of 8:30? That extra 30 minutes would really help. Or what about doing crock pot meals? That way it's cooking while you're at work and ready when you get home.
