I hope everyone had a good weekend!!
My weekend almost became a disaster...
I went to see him in Jersey after work on Thursday because we were going to celebrate him finally taking his MCAT after months of studying. We went to our favorite restaurant and I paid (I wanted to).
I took the day off from work on Friday and we went to see UP in 3D. This is where it got almost disastrous. After the movie, we almost got lost going back home and he was upset about it. But, not as much as he was about the movie. He told me that he didn't want to see another movie with me if it was that depressing. He said that that topic shouldn't be in a kid's movie and that the creators were sick.
Ok, so I agree with him that the topic shouldn't be in a kid's movie and I did cry too, but I also think that that topic shouldn't be avoided. I also think it made him think about us and that's why it made him sad.
So, we ended up having a fight. This is the first time we've had an argument in person. All the other times, it's been over the phone. Eventually, we resolved our feelings and made up.
Saturday came around and I went into the city with my sister to pick up some new sneakers for the walk I'm doing. Of course, one of the sneakers will have to be returned because I don't like the look of them. They feel comfortable, though. Yeah, I know, the look of the sneaker shouldn't matter, but for $120, they really should be better looking AND comfortable. That's just me.
On Sunday, I just hung around and did some chores.
You know DD17 really didn't like UP either.
I'm doing fine with the walking. Thank you for asking. :)
I look forward in getting up early on my weekends to go walking with my sister. The only complaint she has about me is that I need to pick up my pace, but I can't - yet - because I have arthritis in my back. I'm hoping the more I continue to walk, I'll build up speed.
I'm been getting psyched about walking and the walk. I've purchased books about walking, am buying the necessary clothing, and other stuff.
He and I are thinking about forming our own little team. I bought us our "team" t-shirts too! lol. Nope, he won't be wearing the pink tee - I will. He's wearing the black one, but it does have a little pink ribbon design on it, though. I just need to think up our team name! :)
