Hi,

I'm wondering how you deal with being 30 with a SO who is in a different age group? I still like to go out a lot, while he's more into hanging at home, which is fine, but not all of the time. He just doesn't like the scene anymore.

Should I just go out with friends? He's willing to go, but I feel bad, and then I'm worrying that he's having a rotten time.

Thanks!

I think it's absolutely fine that you go out with friends, regardless of your age difference. If he doesn't have a problem with it, than I don't see it being an issue. I don't think I would make it a habit though, or talk with him to get on the same page about how often he's comfy with you going out. Not that you need his permission, but out of consideration for his feelings. Be sure that you are spending quality time with him as well, maybe doing something he enjoys.
