July 4th weekend

Hey all!
I know the 4th of July weekend is like, two weeks away, but I was just curious...
Do you guys have a three day weekend since the 4th lands on a Saturday?
Or are you like me -- we don't get the three day weekend, but earn the holiday to use for some other day?
Blah, I'll be slaving away on that Friday! :(

the rest of the company, those that work m - f, will get friday off for the holiday.
No Firday off for us here and we don't get an extra day off to use some other time either!!!
He's got that Friday off from work. I had asked him when would be the next time we would see each other, he mentioned the 4th of July weekend because he's got the three day weekend.
But, I told him that I might not be able to see him then because I don't have the Friday off from work. I did tell him that I could take a half day off or request to leave early. He said that we would discuss plans once the weekend comes closer.
If we do meet up with one another that weekend, we might celebrate the holiday by having a BBQ at one of my brother's house, that is, if he's having a BBQ party that weekend!
If there's no party, then, we'll probably just spend the time together hanging out. I'm trying to "savor" our meets/visits together because currently, he's busy studying for his MCATs (which he takes at the end of July). So, we don't meet as often as I or he would like to.
Plus, after he finishes that exam, we seriously have to discuss about our "relationship". We've put off from talking about relationship issues until after he completes the MCATs. I hate to say this, but I really don't want him to go to med school because he has mentioned that if he goes, then, there won't be time for him to have a relationship. But, I try my best to cheer him on in trying to pass the exam.
There's more to this, but I don't want to type it all down here at this time. When the end of July comes, I'll probably post about it.

Thursday I'm going to the mall to see if there's anything I can't live with out at Bath and Body Works semi-annual sale. Friday I'm getting my hair done, Saturday I'm going to the movies with some friends and Sunday I might be going out to eat with some other friends.

Night at the Museum 2 and maybe out to eat after the movie.
We have a five-day weekend (July 3 - 7), but two of the days off are unpaid "furlough" days (cost-saving measure in the down economy -- we have 12 unpaid days this year). We get Monday as a paid holiday day.
