I think most of you know my frustration with D's X and how I feel about her.

I share your frustration with non-custodial parents feeling the need to treat their children as best friends and not as children. We deal with it, too, so know that you aren't alone. One thing C's own step-mom told me and which has stuck with me is that after a while, the other parent becomes your ex, too. I can't tell you how often I've wanted to lay it all out on the line with C's ex-wife. It wouldn't do me any good, I know. For one thing, she's not capable of understanding what she needs to be doing and another, she refuses to even speak or be seen in the same place as me.

Keep doing what you're doing because clearly, you're doing something right.

Sorry to hear about that. I wish I had something to suggest, but unfortunately ex's are like an incurable disease. Not much you can do.
