Now that we are in our Thirties, we are now considered to have some life "experience" (not that any teenagers would agree or anything!!!) :0)

Hello,
Well I am still in my 20's (Mid Lol!), but may I participate? Lol!
One of the changes I;'ve noticed about myself is my persona regarding expectations. I use to expect (internally lol!) so much from loved ones, beause I'm an advocate of not allowing superficial things (money, for example) damage your relationships. At nearly thirty, I am taking some relationships at face-value and otherrs more seriously.
Also, I am an idealist, but have incorporated some realism into my idealistic persona. I hate it though!

realism can be a BIG pill to swallow, but it seems that when we just get it over things are sooooo much better!!!

I have found that since I hit my 30s, I stand up for myself more. I don't let people push me around because I don't want to be seen as "impolite".

Of course, I have also found that I have to tell some people what they need to do, how they have to do their jobs and so on... especially if I'm paying them.

My mom has found that I'm actually right about things regarding family, and that she should listen to me more often. My aunt... well, not so much. But she's 87, so I cut her some slack.

I have less tolerance for stupidity and laziness and more of a voice to call it out.

I can't say that my Mom trusts my judgement when it comes to family, but I do know that I can trust my gut.
