How old is she? Even if it is the flu or swine flu, it should run its course and she should be fine. It's the elderly and children who should be most concerned -- and those with autoimmune diseases. Deb - does the flu usually make your MS symptoms worse? My mom can't walk at all when she gets a fever - it's scary. I think that's what concerns me most about the flu and cold bugs that have already started to go around -- I really don't want her to get sick.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
(((((HUGS))))) and prayers to all of you!!!
dear tall girl.... neice is 24 yrs old and in good health otherwise... so its not really her i am worried too much about .. but her son is only 1-1/2 old... so its him i worry about..
>>because us m,s, people will lie to make those who love us feel better when we really feel like he**<<Oh, I know. She does that all the time.
yep i figured i would be right about that... and i will tell you for your mom
P.S. the thing with your mom and her not walking so great when she has a fever.. that is because the "hotter" temps. are pulling her out of her remission... I WAS told along time ago to watch the fevers and TO NOT use hot tubs or saunas.. because the m.s. brain cant take the extra heat even though some of those feel pretty good( hot tubs, saunas).. and to be honest i always thought the dr.s were full of it.. but discovered when a friend and i went to one of those hot springs(idaho springs) and i rented one of the dark cave rooms with the hot mineral water(120-150) degrees that... m.s. and high temps just dont work.. i got out of the pool... but my legs were wobbly.... and only recovered back to what they are now when i finally cooled back down...
