work is non-stop for me....not even time for a dinner break!
Friday evening I'm meeting a friend for dinner and Saturday I'm meeting other friends for dinner then we're going to a singles event. Sunday night back to work. I also need to find some time to get laundry done!!!
Tonight, I am meeting two girlfriends for wine after work. Yippee!
This weekend, C. and I are taking the kids to the National Western Stock Show. It's a big thing in Denver -- a 106-year-old event. The kids will enjoy seeing the animals, and we might try to work in seeing one of the rodeo events.
Thursday I had to work on the snow day team at work, but it was a short day & a change of scenery (I was up front doing the receptionist's job instead of back in my office auditing files...very different!!!)
Today it's another team's day to work ;-) So I am happily enjoying the day off. My husband is off too, so that is nice. We're hanging out listening to music and doing our own little projects (in the same room). I finished organizing a bunch of stuff and now I'm going to make a huge pot of chili.
We really don't have any major plans for this cold weekend. We'll probably get out tomorrow...can't stay inside for too long or I get stir-crazy!
She wasn't from Joplin or Springfield, Missouri was she? That would just be a funny coincidence :-D
I actually did about an hour's worth of work from home today...but the beauty of it (IMO) is that I work for a non-profit and they don't want to spring for computers for those people who do not have them at home (a surprisingly large number of my coworkers don't have them...even people in their 20's-30's!! and probably 1/4 of my coworkers don't even have cell phones). So while we definitely have the technology, they don't fully expect us to utilize it...and I am fine with that LOL!!!!
ITA!!! I can't imagine not having a computer or cell phone. I work with several people who are insanely frugal and say that is their #1 reason but I also think a few of the people are closet technophobes.
I actually feel like I was kind of late to get both of those things (didn't have a home PC until 1999 and my first cell phone was in 2001)...but since then the world has changed so much, I can't even imagine going without either one. I guess I could live without a cell phone except that we don't use a landline anymore and I've gotta have some sort of phone ;-) And no internet? I'd lose my mind! haha (or just start watching TV I guess)

I don't know which city she was in, but she said they had another 5-6 inches of snow and that there were accidents all over the place!!!
