Wishing D. good luck with the decision (and the surgery, if he opts for that). Being out of work is uncomfortable for sure, but it might be worth it if it makes him feel better.
I do know that the surgeries have changed since your J had his done and we did learn yesterday that you can reherniate the exact same disk and if he isn't careful for the first year, the chances of doing this are pretty high.

I wish i could tell you AND D. not to do the surgery.. but MAYBE HE WILL HAVE A BETTER DR. AND it will help him in the long end.
