I don't remember if that issue was ever 'resolved'... however, I was reading an article today that stated the military is no longer accepting boxes for anonymous service members (although I do know there is something called "Operation Shoebox", don't know how that works).

Anywayyyy, in the article it mentioned that the DoD recommends a few organizations to go through. One of those, the USO, has a program where you can donate $25 and they will ship a box of toiletries and other requested items to a serviceman/woman overseas. They're at www.usocares.org. Thought it was worth passing on.

I'm so glad you found that Jill. I had been trying to find out since Annie said the same thing. I'm also looking into the ships. I think they are still taking packages, but then again, they are Sailors - and we are just about game for anything (lol).

When you get a chance Jill, and if you do not mind, will you send me your email address at jlwhitmore@yahoo.com. I'd like to add it to my address book. - Jessie
