Easter Plans?

I have some.  I'm going over to my brother's house for a crawfish boil and to help put together a trampoline.   My SIL thinks she is being sneaky but we're on to her.  She has bought the kids a new trampoline and asked to come over early.  She never never asks us to come over early especially when my brother isn't going to be there.  My brother has to work Easter weekend.

That is very sneaky!  We aren't doing much, the weather is supposed to be gorgeous though and it's a free state park day on Saturday.  I'd love to get my boys outside and go on a long hike.  My body is craving sun and fresh air!  It will just be us for Easter dinner, still trying to decide what to make.

Pack a pic-nik lunch and go for a hike.  I'd love to be able to do that.  All our hiking trails were destroyed by Katrina.  The land is just gone, so they won't be rebuilding any time soon.

Ooooh that is very ulteriori, LOL.  Well, have fun trampoline building.  Hope you at least get to use it if you want to.

That's terrible about your hiking trails being gone forever from Katrina Frown  You're welcome to come visit me.  We have nice trails close by.

Hey, let's go hiking together!  Leave the reluctant people home and just enjoy the outdoors ourselves.  Oh, wait, it's going to rain here on Easter.  But between now and then we have gorgeous weather!

I could have sung (for pay) Easter morning, but I decided I have too much to do at home.  My kids leave Sunday afternoon for Arizona so I have to get laundry done and last minute stuff for them. Saturday I'll be seeing my bestie for a little bit.  She's coming in from out of town to visit her daughter and granddaughter, who live close to me now.  I also hope to enjoy some more of the gorgeous weather we're having.  And I really hope that the mud hole by my garage will evaporate.  We've never had standing water for this long, and I almost got stuck backing out of my garage.  Water, go away.  At least if it goes away we can rearrange the mud and flatten it back down before it dries.  If it dries.

I haven't looked today, but earlier in the week we were forecasted for 75 and sunny! That's so not the norm around here, I'm so excited. I'm dying to get out and do some work in my flowerbeds. I'm game for a hike!

All she had to do was ask and we would have happily said yes.

Yes, it really sucks that our hiking trails have been wiped away forever.  I am hoping as they rebuild the marshlands that they put in some new hiking trails but it won't be anytime soon.  I could drive out past where my brother lives and go to a state park and hike there but their trails are not that great.  They have flat land, pine trees, spiders and mosquitoes as I recall.

Oh, well, that is what vacations are for.

Sue, I hate that last minute washing and packing stuff.  DH gets so stressed out by it that I make him go away and just let me do it.

I'm sure that one day the water will go away but you know, you could always make mud pies or take a mud bath, it's supposed to be good for your skin.  LOL!   Lemonade out of lemons.

LOL...well, I went and raked the mud around and tried not to splash myself, and I dumped sawdust from my dad's shop vac into the biggest puddle to help dry it up.  My part of the driveway is almost dry now, but dh's is still pretty swampy.  He can at least park his car farther forward than normal, and walk into the house through the garage back door.  We still have freezing temps at night, so the frost isn't completely out of the ground yet. It's pretty squishy when you walk!

As for the mud bath...brrrrrr.  It's only 33 outside today!  Plus, the neighbors could see Surprised
