I got a JOB!

After being out of work for 20 months, I finally landed a job. Its a brand new company, new vans/buses. I start training on Wednesday thru next Saturday. Crappy hours & even crappier pay (I'm going from $20 a hr to $12 & no bennies) but its a job. Once I can start looking for another better paying hopefully with great bennies again. The good part, I'm going to be working wacky hours & I just won't have time to see my in-laws!

Crazy, but fun. Uhm over the last 2 weeks I've worked 130 hours. But this week they have decided to cut way back on the over time. {this job isn't worth me driving 2 1/2 hours each day for 8 hours only, it's not worth the cost of gas} so I'll be starting to look for a better paying/with bennie job. I've "managed" to get a little over time each day out of them.

I'm black & blue from dealing with the wheel chairs {had to go see my Dr last week & she flipped out over the bruises on my arms & legs, not my fault that the wheel chairs attack me is it? LOL} I just bruise so easy. I've also managed to tear my left rotator cuff moving a 350+ lb man in a wheelchair. I've got a appointment coming up in a couple of weeks with the same othro dr who repaired my right RC in '08.

Ouch, sorry you may have torn your shoulder.  I hope the company covers it, if you have to have surgery.  Definitely a workman's comp issue, if you ask me.

Thanks! Its been ok (as long as I stay on the bosses good side. We had a screaming match a couple weeks ago, he was curt, rude & nasty for about 4 days. I was so mad I told the field supervisor that I didn't need that kind of bs & that I was looking for another job. I guess FS went & told the boss & boy has he change his tune PDQ! They love to give me the "tough" clients & watch me shine.
