So We all chose our current Path because we like it and it speaks to us.

But what is the BEST thing about it for you?

Then how about a few more Best things?

What is the Best thing about Summmer?

What is the Best thing about getting Older?

What is the Best thing about your Life Right now at this moment?

The best thing about my path is how it connects me to the world, to the Earth Mother and Her children. It makes me aware of how we have treated the Earth for all these years, how ravaged She is right now and how we can help to heal Her. Being a Druid is all about our connection with nature, the plants and animals and natural resources that occupy the Earth.

I don't like summer, so I can't really think of a best about it. I don't do well in the heat and humidity and can't wait until the summer is over. But if I did pick a best, I'd say all the fresh fruits and vegetables that we can get this time of year.

The best thing about getting older for me is that I'm getting more comfortable in my own skin. I'm more concerned with what I want and need and less concerned with what other people think about me. I guess getting older is making me more selfish, but I don't care!

The best thing in my life right now is that I'm back working in the veterinary field. While things at my job aren't perfect and there could be some changes there, I do enjoy my job and I'm glad to be back in the field that I love.

But what is the BEST thing about it for you? I am at peace. Finally a spiritual path/religion that makes sense to me after all the searching I have done all my life.

Then how about a few more Best things? My family. My dog. Having gifted myself with learning T'ai Chi Chih long ago, and how it helps me spiritually as well as mentally and physically with the pain I am dealing with. An understanding that I am part of the entire Universe, an expression of energy in this incarnation right now, but a part of the WHOLE. :)

What is the Best thing about Summmer? A/C, LOL! :smileyvery-happy: Seriously, I am grateful *not* to live in a very hot or humid climate, but still it gets in the 80s and 90s and I am not a happy camper without the A/C to hide out in. I also *do* enjoy all the fresh produce, though, and look forward to it all. :P Other than that, summer as a season doesn't really have too much of an impact on our lifestyle. Same daily schedules as the rest of the year, more or less. Not vacation time for us or anything like that.

What is the Best thing about getting Older? Well, having finally found a spiritual "Home" after decades of searching. :) Learning I can survive a lot of things, and remain intact as to who I am. Learning ongoing patience, even gaining some equanimity with my aging body, with its pain, chronic health issues, and so forth. Not living in fear so much any more. Not fearful of dying per se, as I know where I'm going, home to the Goddess and God. More fear of the *process* of dying. Excruciating pain, being incapacitated, especially mentally, as well as physically. But having the strong faith in the Goddess and God that keeps me going and trusting They are walking with me, and will guide me Home when the time comes. And that they have surround me with loving family for this final journey/process that will come sooner rather than later. ♥

What is the Best thing about your Life Right now at this moment? My family & friends. My deaf dog Mika who has taught me a lot with her courage and "can do" and "I am myself" not *just* a *deaf* dog. :P Having such awesome technology as I continue to lose my hearing, like the Internet, text messaging, chatting online, making "relay" phone calls. To have recently connected in real life locally as well as online, supportive groups for the hard of hearing, people to "get it" and understand the struggle. Being able to maintain my independence despite hearing loss. That we have the prosperity of DH's full-time job, medical care through that job, our little old house, food in the house, ability to keep up with the bills and pay them. Having "enough." And learning what that is. :)

Blessings,

Gypsy

Opps, realized I never answered my own questions...

The best thing about my Path is that it is all Mine. I never felt right about people telling me what to believe and I dont anymore, I found this path by looking inside myself and at the world and this is what brings me Peace and that is what I want most from my spirituality.

The best thing about summer is all the fresh fruits and Im not just saying that because I am a Produce manager LOL. I have always loved fresh fruit and it just tastes so much better when it is in season.

The best thing about getting older is the confidence I have in myself. I no longer worry so much about what other people think and that is an incredible freedom.

The best thing about my Life right now is having found my soulmate. To be with someone who 'gets me' so completely and totally accepts even the parts she doesnt get Hehehe makes me the luckiest woman in the world.

But what is the BEST thing about it for you?

The empowerment of your own path. It is what you make it - good or bad. Also, your interpretation is all that counts. When I was in the Christian religions, the bible would always say something different to me. Others would say, "that's not what it means." But their meaning did not make sense to me. Then one day, I heard an Elder from the Blackfoot tribe say, "your bible loses it's words in the rain and is destroyed. Our bible IS the rain." It made the most sense to me...

What is the Best thing about Summmer?

People seem more laid back. My work is not as busy and lots of ppl are in good moods because they are going or coming back from vacations. I prefer being too warm to being too cold, LOL.

But what is the BEST thing about it for you?

The best thing about my path is that I feel spiritually nourished.
