Lurking Appreciation Day

Thank you both for posting here! I hope that you both will eventually feel comfortable around us here to become regular members of Pagan Paths. Please know that there is no such thing as a dumb question. Everyone here was a newbie once when we all first trod upon our spiritual path. We all had lots of questions and we all stumbled for awhile until we found our way. Some of us, like myself, stumbled a lot more than others, because when I first discovered that I was a Pagan, there was no Internet, no networking among Pagans and only a few books, most of which were about the witch trials. So I am very glad that there are boards like Pagan Paths for people new to the path. It makes finding your way a lot easier.

I hope that you both will continue to remain with us here. When you feel comfortable enough please jump right in and post away!

Hiya, littlemom, and welcome to Pagan Paths! We are indeed a laidback group here, and I really like that. I've been a member of a lot of different Pagan forums and none of them are as friendly and open-minded as we are here. The other forums have a "my Goddess can beat up your Goddess" attitude, where they argue over little things like semantics (for example, I'm not "supposed" to call myself a Druid, since "real" Druids don't exist anymore. I have to call myself a "Neo-Druid"), where they feel they have the right to jump down a person's throat at any little thing, etc.

I don't see a problem with combining paths and celebrating the different holidays of different paths. I was a Buddhist for a while and I still follow a lot of its beliefs. I still feel a deep connection with Buddhism and don't see a real problem with still following it as well as being a Druid.

I hope that you'll remain here with us and in time will decide to join us in our conversations. We love new people being with us!
