More Bog Bodies Discovered

Some more bodies were recently discovered in Irish bogs. These date back to the Celts of the Iron Age and they bring up more evidence of ritual sacrifices. The bog bodies found throughout Europe have usually shown evidence of what is known as the Triple Death, where the people have been killed in three different ways. The Celts have always seen things in threes, so these kinds of sacrifices are not unusual. Modern people of today don't like to think about things like human sacrifice, but when you are a member of a warrior culture like the Celts, human sacrifice is a part of your worldview. I don't believe that the Celts were as bloodthirsty as others have made them out to be like the idea of the Wicker Man, but there is plenty of archaeological evidence that points to human sacrifice, curse tablets, warfare, head hunting, etc., which was done by both the warriors and the Druids. I would like for there to be more archaeological discoveries made of the Celts in France, since my Celtic ancestors were from Gaul and not Ireland.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. And I agree that sometimes we try to put modern sensibilities on ancient ways and that is unfair and often untrue
