Pagan Paths is not on any index

Hi,  I've been around on iVillage for many years and on this board many times over those years but have noticed that there aren't any new threads or posting to it in a long time. I'd like to start posting again but I first wanted to see if this board could be found by other people so that they could post and start threads.  Well, - - today I went to the master index of iVillage and started a search through each and every part of the available index to see if Pagan Paths is listed anywhere but I found out that there just isn't any thing listed that I could find. There is a section on 'Spiritual Parenting' which had a listing for Pagan Parenting but no matter where I looked there was nothing listed for this board.  There is a search box at the top of the master index so I typed in Pagan Paths and the reply was something like 'no such board exists'.

I don't know if this is just an oversight on the part of iVillage's list of how the board index is set up or an open 'suppression of a religious belief' but either way it needs to be addressed rather quickly. Any implication of a 'suppression of religious belief' isn't good nor honorable.  With this in mind I feel that the CL of this board needs to move my post up to the main people who run iVillage so that they can correct this error so that this boards listing is in a clear and specific place where Pagan Paths can be found... (I also noticed that there wasn't any thing listed for any other religion either so I may be looking in the wrong place.)  If the main people who run iVillage have listed this board under some totally unrelated subcatagory of a different topic making this board unreachable then I feel that it shows an out right intention to 'suppress a religious belief or a flaw in the master index.  Also during my search I noted that I couldn't find a listing for 'Religious Debates' so this may be in indication that I may have missed something and I need some help in finding where those boards are. But if I had problems and couldn't find a set of boards then your index could use some serious work.

Now the ball is in your court.....   If there isn't some kind or solution to this issue I'll just start moving up the chain of command within iVillage and make some noise in doing so.  I respect and follow the rules of iVillage and visit it quite often, almost daily, and I also wish to use this board more often but if no one even knows it's a part of iVillage then something is really wrong!!  Your help and understanding is needed and I'm sending this in good faith with hopes of improving iVillage and not to create any problems, but I think you can see what I'm trying to get across.

To the CL who has been trying to keep this board open and running I must commend you for your dedication and efforts..      Tommy

To the CL.  Hi, My intent behind my original post to start this thread was to catch someones attention since I voiced the same complaint about a year ago.

In my opinion when someone makes a specific criticism about something that they should also offer a solution to solve that problem.  With this in mind here is my offer to solve the problem as well as other problems dealing with people having trouble finding different religious or spiritual boards. As it is at this time in the master index there is a primary heading in large bold print that says, 'Spiritual Parenting' and it lists those subjects pertaining to 'parenting'. However if a person wants to find any of the boards related to anything of a religious or spiritual nature those boards are scattered all over the place. If you want to find 'Religious Debate' I think you have to first go looking under the heading of some kind of 'Pregnancy' board.  CL, just look for yourself..  Here is my solution.  Simply change 'Spiritual Parenting' to read 'Spiritual and Spiritual Parenting' then list all the boards pertaining to anything connected to those subjects under that main heading. Problem solved!!

The religious and spiritual life within the family as well as a person's own religious and spiritual life is often quite important to many people so in my opinion it is a disservice to the readers and posters to have to hunt for those subjects under such heading as 'pregnancy' or 'Just for Women' to find different religious boards.

The last time I called this to the attention of the people who setup and run iVillage the results went no where so this makes me question is scattering the religious content boards all over the place is an error or intensional.  If you look at the sequence links above this main Pagan Paths posting heading you'll see that to find Pagan Paths you first have to start looking under the heading of 'Love and Sex', then to 'Women Like You' to find Pagan paths. Yep, that's just the rout I would NOT take to find this board. No wonder this board has no one posting on it, - - you've hidden it from view under totally unrelated subjects. You may want to review this overall subject. With the amount I know about computer programming making such simple set of changes is quite easy, - - if someone 'wants to do it'.    Tommy

Thank you for your thoughts.  I will make sure they get passed on to those responsible for designing the site.  Right now, among other things, the search feature is not working as it should.  This is something that our techs are aware of and is on their list.
