Most of us would probably agree that there needs to be more understanding, more acceptance and more tolerance of other religious paths in this world. We Pagans are all too familiar with intolerance about our spiritual path, though other people of other faiths have dealt with intolerance on the parts of others as well. What do you wish that others understood about your path? What are some of the stereotypes about your path that you wish could be laid to rest? When someone expresses intolerance against your path, what do you do: debate/argue about it, refuse to discuss it, walk away, shrug or something else?

The main thing that I would like others to realize is that while I do not worship the Christian/Jewish/Muslim god, that my path is valid for me. And because of the fact that I do not follow someone else's god, it does not mean that I follow Satan/Lucifer/Iblis. My path does not see the dichotomy of good/evil, white/black, either/or. That is not the way Paganism is, the way that Druidry is. I also would like people to know that most Pagans prefer to keep quiet about their paths, that we do not preach to others, we do not share information (though some will if asked about it), that we think that religion is a personal choice and is a private thing. We are not out to corrupt anyone and lead them down the path to hell and damnation, mainly because we do not believe in the Christian view of hell and we do not believe in Satan. Most of us prefer to have a live and let live attitude about religious views. Yes, there are those who will debate and argue. I, however, prefer to let others believe what they want to believe. If you don't shove your religion down my throat, then I won't shove mine down your throat.

What do you wish that others understood about your path? I would like those who don't share my beliefs to understand that my being a Pagan Witch has nothing to do with devil worship, evil, or Hollywood hocus-pocus. I'd like them to also understand that just because I do not share their beliefs, doesn't mean I'm their enemy.


What are some of the stereotypes about your path that you wish could be laid to rest? I wish more people understood the science behind Witchcraft. Instead, most think of shows like "Charmed" and movies like "The Craft", when they hear the word Witch. Most of my witchcraft centers around healing and helping. I
