Question for the week..."Where are you going to?"

Greetings.

I have been in a really funky mood these last few days (partly work, partly hormones, partly who knows)

Anyway, 2 things sparked the question I have for you this week.

I've never believed in the Christian concepts of heaven and hell. The ancient Celts, whose path I follow, didn't have these concepts either. They all had their own concept of what happens to people after they die and they all have different names. I prefer to call it the Otherworld. This is the area where the God/desses reside, along with beings such as the Fae. One reason why the Celts were such fearless warriors is because they believed in reincarnation, so they weren't afraid to die. I believe that I'm going to end up in the Otherworld with my God/desses when I choose to leave this life.

I know that I answered your last question first, so let me get back to your other one. How do I feel about where I'm going on my path? Whenever I feel at peace with myself, whenever I feel my connection with the Divine, when I'm not questioning myself or my Deities, then I know that I'm staying on my path. When I feel out of sorts or feel lost in some way or question about what I'm doing, then I know that I've stumbled on my path.

So my question for you all this week is, "How do you know where you are going on your Path?" Or should I say "How do you feel about where you are going?"

""How do you know where you are going on your Path?"
I am learning the longer I am on my Path, to listen to my own inner voice, for that voice is the Goddess speaking to me. :)

"Or should I say "How do you feel about where you are going?"
I feel and have felt, since the day long ago that I dedicated myself to the Goddess and God, that I finally found the right spiritual path for myself. I feel surer every single day. ;)

"And the Ultimate question, " Where do you think you will end up?"
I will end up dead. LOL! :D By that I mean, when the time comes, I will walk through the doorway back Home to the spirit world, back to the Universe and the Goddess and God. My walk here will be done. I ask Them every day for the courage to keep walking every day I have, and at the same time face whenever that last day is. Being 64, that "last day" is sooner rather than later in my life. I am trying to be OK with that realization. As well as walking with Them through current health issues and challenges, feeling their support, and using both Magick and spiritual practice along with medical care, to find joy each day, and guidance.

Blessings,

Gypsy

I also connect to my spirituality through music. The main music that does this is Middle Eastern/belly dance music, particularly if it is drumming. Belly dance is the world's oldest dance and it really celebrates the Goddess when you belly dance. Another kind of music that connects with me is Native American pow wow music. It just makes me want to get up and dance.

Thanks for sharing that A!

I do like that album, it would be wonderful to listen to at Christmas time. Their version of Greensleeves is beautiful.
