If you've shopped for East candy during the past few years you might've noticed an influx of more Christian-themed candy. Now beside the chocolate bunnies there are chocolate crosses. That doesn't bother me that much, since even though Ostara is a Pagan holiday, Easter usually doesn't occur on or around the same day. And as a Druid, I don't celebrate Ostara anyway, so I'm fine with the Christians taking over Easter.
However, my absolute favorite holiday is coming up and Samhain is strictly a Pagan holiday (after all, the Christians have All Soul's Day after Samhain). As the secular holiday of Halloween, I know of Christians who do allow their children to go to parties and to go trick or treating. However, according to an article I found online today, Christians want to take over this holiday as well with religious-theme Halloween candy.
For me personally this is taking things too far. This is my most sacred holiday and I don't want others impinging on it. I just thank the Goddess that I don't have any children who might end up with "Jesus seeds" in their Halloween candy bags.
