1. How often do you cook?
>>>DH is the main dinner cook in our house (he's picky) but I usually make breakfast for the kids and sometimes cook dinner.

2. What spices could you not cook without?
>>>I don't really know all that much about cooking, so I don't use spices that much. I'd say the things we use with frequency and premade mixes of various thing like a Rosemary-Ginger spice rub that we use, or a cajun seasoning.

3. How did you learn to cook?
>>>The women in my family seem to be great cooks, with the exception of me. I *could* have learned from my mom, but I guess I just never got the hang of it.

4. Do you use fresh herbs in your cooking?
>>>Nope

5. Do you like to cook?
>>>I like to try new things once in awhile. For the mundane day-to-day dinner preparation, I don't really like that.

6. Have you ever canned your own food?
>>>Yes! I started last year so that we could have local food even in the winter.

7. When was the last time you baked something from scratch?
>>>It's been a while - maybe 3 months.

1. How often do you cook? Just about every single day, sometimes multiple meals a day.

2. What spices could you not cook without? Garlic!

3. How did you learn to cook? I was vegetarian in high school and college, and my mom refused to cook a separate meal for me. I began by experimenting with different kinds of stir fry dishes. I also watched my mom cooking and adapted her recipes to be vegetarian. After college, I began watching the Food Network almost every day and just took mental notes of what they made. My MIL bought be cookbooks, and I just experimented with recipes. Now I can create recipes from my own head or based on what I have seen others make.

4. Do you use fresh herbs in your cooking? Yes, I have a rather large herb garden in beds and pots. I dry or freeze the herbs for winter cooking. I have basil, oregano, chives, rosemary, thyme, sage, parsley, mint, and lavender.

5. Do you like to cook? I love to cook. I consider myself a "kitchen witch" in training because I am still learning about the magical properties of herbs and other ingredients. As long as I haven't had to work all day, then I find cooking to be therapeutic.

6. Have you ever canned your own food? No, but I make a spaghetti sauce from scratch and freeze it. I also make soups and chilis that I freeze.

7. When was the last time you baked something from scratch? I made rosemary scones a few weeks ago. I am better at making quick breads and muffins than I am at yeast breads or cakes.
