3. What did you always want as a child but never got? === a real vacation, not two weeks every summer visiting the grandparents. Not that I disliked my grandparents but everyone else I knew went to such interesting and exotic places and we went to new Jersey EVERY year!
4. What kind of injustice makes you fighting mad? === animal abuse
5. What are your hobbies? === cross stitchery and card making
6. If you had an entire worry-free and obligations-free day, what would you do with it? === stitch!
7. As a child, where did you spend your summer vacations? === two weeks every year at the Grandparents' in NJ

3. I always wanted a dog. Wasn't allowed to have one :(( until I grew up, graduated college and moved out right away just so I could have my dog! ;))
4. Child, animal abuse, or women who are also abused and rights for self-determination denied through religion, backward societies, etc.
5. Writing, walking/hiking with Mika dog, reading, participating in on-line forums, keeping up with far-flung family. Do a little graphic design for greeting cards. Digital photography.
6. Hop in the Beetle with Mika dog, pack a lunch, and drive to the mountains or the shoreline for a great hike! (Meaning *much* further away than our usual jaunts, that are closer to home to save on gasoline).
7. Spent them with my maternal grandmother, as both my parents worked. I loved it and loved my Grandma! ;)) I spent Easter & Christmas school breaks with her, too. I couldn't wait to be there. We were buddies, went to movies, I had a whole set of friends there, etc. My parents & I would go on vacations away, too, for maybe 2 weeks, like to the Grand Canyon or somewhere. Sometimes Grandma would come, too, or a favorite aunt & uncle. Loved that, too. :P

1. Do you know what your first name means? I think both of my names (Amanda and my nickname Mandy) have similar meanings of "beloved."

4. What kind of injustice makes you fighting mad? So many, but the one very personal to me is probably the mistreatment and mismanagement of birth.
5. What are your hobbies? I like to make siggies and listen to music.
6. If you had an entire worry-free and obligations-free day, what would you do with it? Read.
7. As a child, where did you spend your summer vacations? At home. Sometimes the family would pile into the car and drive around the state (Montana) visiting historical sites.

4. What kind of injustice makes you fighting mad? Cruelty to animals
5. What are your hobbies? Reading, Scottish Country Dancing, listening to music, gardening, collecting costumes (Ren Faire, etc.)
6. If you had an entire worry-free and obligations-free day, what would you do with it? Sleep in a little bit (but not too late) and then go for a hike at Harper's Ferry. There's a path off the main road that I see every time we go to Charles Town casino, and I really want to hike it!
7. As a child, where did you spend your summer vacations? At my grandparents' house in North Carolina. They lived on the inter-coastal waterway, so we would fish and crab off their dock and occasionally go for boat rides. We also went to a nearby beach, where my Nana would yell at us if we went out too far. This question makes a little sad because they no longer live there, and my grandfather has since passed away. I won't be able to go back there ever again because new people own it. :(
