Greetings.

While I have a few of you checking in at the board these days, how about a quick discussion of how you keep your spirituality alive in your daily life.

We all celebrate the religious holidays or say prayers and perform rituals when we are in need, but how about on a day to day basis?

What little reminders bring your Path to your thoughts and your actions each day?

How do you keep the spirit of your Path alive?

Peace,

My main beliefs come out every day in my two jobs. I still carry some Buddhist beliefs with me and one of them is that we are here to help relieve the suffering of other sentient beings. I work in a non-profit cat sanctuary, where I help to care for 120 previously abandoned, abused and feral cats. I also work as a veterinary assistant in an ermergency veterinary clinic. This is my way of being a caretaker of Mother Earth and Her children, which is also a major part of being a Druid. Whenever we lose a patient at the vet clinic I say a prayer to God/desses to help the animal's spirit find it's way to the Otherworld. I also call up Them to aid in the healing of our patients when they are ill or injured.

Thats so cool Sisterhoney! Thanks for sharing.

For me, everyday I read a passage from one of my Taoist texts, and I also have a daily calendar with a zen quote on it that I think about over breakfast and then try to incorporate into my day.

The main thing I try to do is remember that ALL of us; animals, plants and people included, are all ONE and I work hard to treat everyone that way. I make sure I take the time to speak to every animal I see, and to stop and enjoy the beauty of Nature around me, even if its just for a moment. This morning it was sooooo cool, because on my way to work I saw the full moon and it was RED! I just had to pause and thank the universe for allowing me to be part of it and experience that.

I am without a doubt a solid Pagan and working in my Wicca paths but for the past several months following any of my paths were very dormant through no specific reasons. I was still saying my daily prayers to my God but wasn't actively doing anything else. I think it's been because one of my medical disorders had taken me down and I've had no interests in much of anything so that there was a lot of collective stress in my life in general. I feel that my 'being' was too diffused.

I've posted here in the past that I have a very active Earth Spirit Guide named Beth who works with me quite closely. The other night while I was dreaming, Beth, as she often does, will break into my dream quite

Thats awesome Fox.Sometimes it takes that little 'push' from an outside source (in whatever form it takes), to get us back on the right track in our lives, and I dont just mean spiritually. Glad you having a good week now, hope it continues and thanks for sharing.

Actually, Incense used to be a traditional part of the Catholic Mass and still happens sometimes in places like Italy.

Smell is a very strong sense and invokes many feelings so I can understand why you would find it spiritual.

Thanks for sharing.

Well, pretty much what I've posted before... :) I daily stand in front of my altar for a gratitude exercise, to the Goddess and God. And I ask for continued protections for my family and myself. :) I have also added my T'ai Chi Chih practice and sitting meditation practice. It all helps me in my efforts to try to keep body/mind/spirit as balanced as possibe. :P When challenges hit, I take deep breaths in & out, ask for guidance in how to proceed, or calm myself, etc. The Goddess and God are always right there beside me. I just have to pay attention. ;)

Blessings,

Gypsy
