When trouble enters into your life, whether it be illness, the loss of a job, marital troubles, family issues, overall stress, etc., do you find yourself more spiritually-inclined? Do you turn to your deities, rituals, meditation, prayer, etc., to help you through troubled times? Or do you find yourself so wrapped up in the pain that you can't find your way on your spiritual path?

I can honestly say that I can go either way on this type of thing.

It depends. Sometimes my stress/anxiety is so high that I just can't concentrate or relax enough to meditate or pray quietly, so I try to find a time when no one will be home and I will scream and rage to let it all out. Or I'll do some kind of physical activity (housecleaning, kickboxing) to take my mind off whatever is bothering me. I guess this becomes a more rigorous form of ritual for me.

It's funny you should ask this question because I am in the middle of a very stressful situation but this time I just feel exhausted by everything and all I want to do is hide under my blankets until it's all over. I definitely feel more "depression" associated with this situation than with others. Hope it passes quickly.

To be honest, some of both. :P Sometimes I can stay balanced & focused despite life throwing me a major "curve" from out of nowhere. Sometimes, too, I just get run over and react emotionally instead. :O After reacting, though, I usually regain some kind of balance, and formally call on the Lady & Lord, the Guardians and my Totems, to guide me through the "minefield" thrown up in my life, and to help me to choose the best route through the challenge.
