Hi, I'm hoping to see this board become more active again. I'm just getting into Wicca and had found that this board was a good place to learn and ask questions. I hope people start posting again.

My name is Tommy and I live in the northwest part of Washington state. As far as what I'll be doing this summer, well, I'm still working on some ideas. I'm retired so I usually do what I want so all that I normally do is what I'll be doing this summer.

Hi Shadow!

I'm Karen from New Orleans. I'll be hanging out around my house and visiting family and friends like I do every summer.

"I am getting to take a trip to California next week to visit the growers of our Lettuce and Strawberries."

Color me jealous! I love California. That sounds like it will be a lovely trip! I hope you will tell us all about it once you get back.

Hi all,

I have been a member of this board for several years but just don't post much, or even check in very much anymore. I was a friend (in person)

Hi, I'm Rain. I've been here off and on for years. I was raised in a casually Christian home and it's all I knew until I got interested in witchcraft and paganism as a young adult. I like learning about other cultures and religions. So far I haven't found a label that exactly fits me but that's ok. I have practiced Wicca in the past a little bit. It's something I like and feel is a good fit for me. But I have to be in the closet and I don't have the courage to be out.

I've been in the Mom business for over 22 years. One's in college and the youngest is in 1st grade. This summer we are not doing anything much. DH works all the time and me and the kids go to the pool, the library, the grocery store... all the regular stuff. Nothing too exciting around here. We are in the south so it is soooo hot right now!

Hello, everyone! ;)) I haven't been here for awhile. Just got off track and didn't get here, sorry to say. I am also sorry to see Sisterhoney has stepped down as CL. I wish you well, and am glad you will still be stopping by! This is a wonderful board! :)

I am Gypsy. ;) I am Wiccan/Pagan, and claim with word, Witch, as well. ;)) I have incorporated a variety of practices within my spiritual path, from my spiritual seeking in the past. I converted to Wicca through my DD when she was in grade school, as she began asking about Wicca and the Goddess. So, we got books and investigated. I think my DD incarnated as my DD to lead me Home to the Goddess, to be honest, and that she came as my teacher in this. :P

I am fortunate to live in a fairly liberal urban area in California. Many spiritual paths are reflected in the area, and Pagans are able to be open in terms of jewelry, bumper stickers, and so forth, in ways they cannot be in more restrictive intolerant geographic areas. For many years my DD & I practiced alone, and only just recently, in the past couple years, did we find people with whom to form a small Circle. I had originally gone searching for some "community" at a local Unitarian Universalist church, but found Pagan/Wiccans who wanted to form their own Circle, and I chose to be with them instead of staying with the UU. Had my DD been young, and not at adult by then, I would have likely stayed with the UU so she could have "Sunday School" that taught her of many world religions, and tolerance and respect for all spiritual paths. :P

My little Circle & I just had a lovely Midsummer ritual on Monday evening. We hadn't been able to get together for the last Sabbat, so this was a wonderful reunion. ;) We go to each other's homes, and take turns planning and conducting ritual. We also did some Tarot readings for each of us as well. It was a wonderfully uplifting evening and we all needed that connection to the powerful energy of the Lady and Lord, and the Universe! ;))

So, that's me, basically. A Seeker who has found a home & focus with the Lady and Lord, and in an Eclectic form of Wicca.

Blessings,

Gypsy
