What celebrations are there for Wicca at during the holiday season?
The December Wiccan Sabbat is Winter Solstice/Yule, happening right now, when the Goddess gives birth to the God.
Here is some info:
Hope that helps! ;)
Solstice Blessings to All! Blessed Be!
Hi Gypsy, Thanks for hanging in there and trying to keep this board going but as I watch this one as well as the others I use to post on it looks like iVillage may be dead. That's really sad since I enjoyed seeing the posts from the people I knew but now days it seems like you may be the only solid person who's doing their best to keep Pagan Paths alive. We both know that it's hard to make posts with the hopes of someone posting back but so far it seems rather dismal. I know this board doesn't have a CL but you have been doing an fantastic job of doing the job. What do you think will be happening with iVillage since so many of the boards haven't had a post since early November? Tommy
Hi, Tommy! :)
I keep coming back once in a while, and am disappointed like you. There are so many bugs with yet a new format, that have not been cleared up yet, that I can see why people are just too frustrated to try to post. Also, I had to find all the boards I frequented, all over again, as my old bookmarks didn't work. :O So frustrating! I'll keep coming by now. You do, too, OK? Start a thread. Any new books you're reading? Did you do a ritual for Yule/Solstice? ;)
Thanks for the answers and the links.
I have a friend who is a practicing wiccan and sometimes when I am visiting her with other friends (also wiccan) I feel they are talking in a different language. At least now I can understand some of what they talk about.
Thanks for making me just a bit less ignorant in this. Seems like such a gentle way to live life, and I know my friends are very happy in their lives, for the most part :D
