About what to do in order not to feel overwhelmed...have you thought about talking to a counselor about this? There has to be something going on that maybe you aren't aware of that makes you either feel bored in a relationship or overwhelmed. Sometimes sitting down with someone can help figure out what's causing the problem.

I was seeing a counselor at school last semester (not about this, though), but he never wanted to talk about anything other than school, but I think that's good advice- I can see if they have another counselor I can see.
