Hello everyone. This is my first time ever posting on anything so forgive me if it does not meet the usual standards.

About three and half months ago I broke my back the old fashioned way by falling out of a tree. I work out doors as an Outdoor educator. I was playing a game with the children and hid from them in a tree. On my way down, a major branch snaped

I wish I had a good suggestion, and I was thinking about it since I read your post yesterday, but I don't think there's anything you can do, right now, to make you feel as though you've completely "evened the score" for his generosity. And maybe you should be okay with that. True love is shown when we need it the most, and he has shown you the greatest kindness a person can show one another. What you CAN do is let him know that you will be there for him when he needs you most, and then live up to your word.

The world's biggest teddy bear wouldn't cut it. Just look into his eyes, tell him sincerely how incredibly grateful you are to have him in your life, and allow him to continue feeling good about being there for you without needing anything in return.

You're so lucky to have such a wonderful guy...! And he is lucky to have you too. I'm so sorry about your accident but am glad you have had some good come of it!
