I’m Mac (m)

I’m a 35-year-old, married woman, mother of four...hehehe (2 dogs, 2 cats). My hubby and I own a small finance company and I write whenever possible, evenings and weekends though I haven’t been doing much writing lately. Other than writing, I enjoy reading (Stephen King’s my favorite) and photography (check out my homepage for some of my work). I also enjoy my three-mile walk that I take each day.

Eyewrite here...

... and I haven't posted much recently - can't post from work during the day and I've been playing The Sims in the evenings ;P

I write children's picture book stories and short stories, though, like Mac, I haven't been as writerly lately. I work as a technical writer for a software company so I get enough writing done during the day. Sometimes it's even fictional: "If the software was really working you'd see a blue box on your screen and if you pressed Shift+R you could rotate the blue box."

Hehe. Take care, Eyewrite

hi there (m)

I use the cat's name, and she, I and some other people live in Maryland near DC. I've been obsessing over a novel since February and haven't posted a whole lot here--I'm still halfway through the May exercise, and thinking about dumping it. I just printed out my whole novel for a friend to read, and was compelled to clean the kitchen while the computer was tied up. As trivial as this sounds, it is a major event for me; it was a very dirty kitchen, but my theory is, so long as no one comes down with cholera, what the heck.

Hello

I'm a stay at home Mom to one incredible boy and one spoiled dog. I've been trying to write for a long time, but it wasn't until I stumbled upon the ivillage boards that I started writing regularly. Since I've been at home I've been able to devote more time to it. I love to go out with my family, and since we've moved to a beach town on Lake Michigan I've been spending a lot of time in the water. I love to read, especially the kind of book that draws me in so much that until it's finished, I get three hours of sleep a night and the housework doesn't get done.

Here

Life is rolling along fairly well these days. Just turned 54 on Thursday. I always take my Birthday off and celebrate my life. Generally I stay home and garden which is my passion. This year my husband and I puttered around our forest house and ended the afternoon with barbequed chicken and strawberry crepes.

Four daughters are out in the world making their way - each has a sweetheart and two have children (3 grandchildren).

Today my dh and I are going dancing.

There have been times when life has been harder so I am counting my blessings each morning these days.

A little money added to these blessings would be nice but that may have to wait until I write a block buster series of novels that turn into movies and action toys, that or winning the lottery.

Wishing you all a beautiful Sunday :0)me

a little late, but...

I'm Ramona. I'm enjoying my last month and a half of being able to claim that I'm still under 30.

I'm originally from Orange County, CA (close enough to LA to enjoy the air, but not quite close enough to be gobbled up as part of the Greater LA Area). I lived in San Francisco for a while, and for the last couple of years I've been living in the rural sprawl of western KY.

I live with my gentleman caller and two brat cats. I'm an attorney who's been out of work for far too long (and getting two job rejection letters last Thursday did oodles for my self-esteem).

I have a lot of extra time on my hands right now, but I don't think I write as much as I should or could.

Always late Linda here(m)

I'm a 61 y/o mom and grandmom who lives in the Ozarks. I love to write and adore all the writing friends I've made here at the board. What a great bunch!

Hey Mac~

A three mile walk everyday...in the woods, neighborhood, town, a little of all three? How you been Mac? I've been writing a ton, but mostly non-fiction, dairy sort of stuff. The two months that I've been up here in the Pacific Northwest helping my son finish up his senior year has thrown a wrench in my writing process. It has been an emotional roller coaster, along with one car and a VERY active kid means I've been on the fly. I tried to take a writing course with Jessica Morrell while I was here but even my attempt to have a miniscule schedule failed. I hope to be home in about two weeks, and after I get my 'life groove' back, I'll be back on the board.

Hope all is well. If we lived near each other, we could walk together, and I'd teach you yoga.

Take care, Hugs, kat

Hello Ramona!

My goodness girlfriend, what a trip life has been for you. A lawyer, WOW!

Write, YES you should. Especially with time on your hands. Get some GOOD irons in the fire while you can because they take much firing and hammering until you get something smooth and beautiful.

I miss reading your work. I hope to be back on the board soon.

Take care! hugs, kat

Late Linda~

You can arrive late to my parties anytime! How are you?

I've missed the board. I've been writing non-fiction, diary stuff lately (to fit the state of my life for now), but soon hope to be back in my home, in my life, in my groove. Until then, take care!

hugs. kat
