Here are mine (m)
1) If someone cuts in front of you in line, how would you react?
Probably ignore them. Yeah, I'm a real Xena!
2) While “surfing the Internetâ€, do you feel your privacy is protected?
I really wonder about that sometimes, I don't think so.
3) Have you tried Subway’s new breads, Honey-Wheat or Roasted Garlic?
No
4) What’s the best/worst thing about the community you live in?
Best: the breathtaking beauty. I'm surrounded by national parks and beautiful high desert country. Worst: There isn't much diversity. Most of the community are the same religion, same race, etc. and it's difficult for people who are different in some way.
5) In Eyewrite’s TT this week, her character said, “Just do it.†Do you have a personal motto that pertains to writing?
"No more excuses!"

1) If someone cuts in front of you in line, how would you react?
Although I’m typically shy, I’d probably say something.
2) While “surfing the Internet”, do you feel your privacy is protected?
Not as much as I’d like. As that one commercial says, “There’s people in there, you know.”
3) Have you tried Subway’s new breads, Honey-Wheat or Roasted Garlic?
Yes, I love the Roasted Garlic. Can’t get enough of it!!!
4) What’s the best/worst thing about the community you live in?
The best thing is its small town flavor. The people are nice and friendly and the area is beautiful. The worst thing is that it’s a “dry” county (meaning we have a “no liquor law”) so we have no descent restaurants – which explains why I eat at Subway!!!
5) In Eyewrite’s TT this week, her character said, “Just do it.” Do you have a personal motto that pertains to writing?
I don’t really have one, but I’d say “Rewrite, rewrite, rewrite!!!”
Fri Five
1) If someone cuts in front of you in line, how would you react? I say "Excuse me, I was next!" and they usually apologize and say they didn't see me.
2) While “surfing the Internet”, do you feel your privacy is protected? No.
3) Have you tried Subway’s new breads, Honey-Wheat or Roasted Garlic? No.
4) What’s the best/worst thing about the community you live in? The best is that it's a tourist destination, so there's TONS of things to do in the summer. The worst is that it's not a very diverse community, and I worry how that will effect my son's acceptance of different people/cultures/religions as he's growing up.
5) In Eyewrite’s TT this week, her character said, “Just do it.” Do you have a personal motto that pertains to writing? Just last week I cut a quote out of a magazine, about focus. It said "bring everything you have to spare to what you want to accomplish, and cut out everything else." The woman was talking about succeeding in business, but I think it can apply to any goal.
I didn't read your post before I wrote mine, but it sounds like we live in similar towns.nt
my Fri 5
1) If someone cuts in front of you in line, how would you react? I'd say something like "Excuse me I think I was next." And I'm still alive to tell the tale.
2) While “surfing the Internet”, do you feel your privacy is protected? Well, no. I don't really expect it to be, not after Amazon decided I was a lesbian.
3) Have you tried Subway’s new breads, Honey-Wheat or Roasted Garlic? No, but if my daughter gets a summer job there I'm sure I will.
4) What’s the best/worst thing about the community you live in? Best is that it's a small town very close to Washington DC. The worst thing is that if you don't go to either of the 2 churches or have very young children, that small town thing just doesn't work for you.
5) In Eyewrite’s TT this week, her character said, “Just do it.” Do you have a personal motto that pertains to writing? Hey, EW, that's mine, and we both stole it from Nike. How about, stop cruising the Internet?!

1) If someone cuts in front of you in line, how would you react? I usually stay quiet unless the person is quite pesky about it. This is a funny story I wanted to share on this subject: I once had two older women crowd ahead of several of us waiting in line at the local Wally World. They just slid in front of us, and a little girl was ahead of me. I said "Excuse me, but this is the line..." and pointed to the end which was about four people behind me. One of the crowd-in women looked at me and said, "How rude."
As my mouth dropped open I heard one of the other women in line reply to her, "No, you're rude. Get in line." The two women let out a huff and left the restroom. The rest of us just looked at each other and burst out laughing.
2) While “surfing the Internetâ€, do you feel your privacy is protected? Not really. They may say that it is, but I don't truly believe it. Too many hackers out therre.
3) Have you tried Subway’s new breads, Honey-Wheat or Roasted Garlic? No, but I will try the honey-wheat next time I'm in the new Subway in our small town.
4) What’s the best/worst thing about the community you live in? Best: It's a beautiful lakeside community. My goal is to do a series of paintings of the lake. Worst: As small towns often are, my town is terribly cliquish. Either you're in or you're out.
5) In Eyewrite’s TT this week, her character said, “Just do it.†Do you have a personal motto that pertains to writing? I'm thinking of adopting EW's motto to see if it can help me to overcome this slump.
You bet it can apply to any goal...
The trouble with our "to do" lists and wish lists is that we try to do it all at once. Take golf lessons and paint water colours and b&w photography and so on all at once, with work and school and family and everything else. One wise person said that you can be all the things you want, if you do them one at a time. Focus on one, then move to another when you're bored/tired/ready for a change.
Have a good weekend.
An entire county with no liquor?...
How far do the kids have to drive to get bootleg booze? lol. How long has it been this way? Do the county council ever put it to a referendum?
I don't eat at Subway much because I'm trying to eat less bread these days. I don't think my stomach handles it well anymore.
Have a good weekend.
You caught me...
besides it was my character's words, not mine, lol.
How about this one: "Stop reading books about writing and just get writing." I know I get so tempted by books on writing. I stand in the bookstore and flip through it and then I have to tell myself to stop reading about writing and just write. Besides the more of these books you flip through the more you see their Table of Contents is 80% the same.
Have a good weekend.
That's great!...
That the other women helped point out the rudeness too, and back you up. Great story!
Have a good weekend.
