TGIF! (m)

1) Who would rank as your all-time favorite actor?

As in acting ability? Or who I drool over the most? *grin* I'll got with Robin Williams. I like the different roles he's played over the years, from wild & outrageous to silly to serious and toned-down. You never know what you're going to get when you watch him. (ok, I drool over him a bit too...)

2) What was the last thing you purchased that you really didn't need?

A lily bouquet

3) When did you learn to drive a car and who taught you?

When I was sixteen, my dad

4) How do you plan your meals, by the week, on the spot or something else?

By the week more or less

5) Why do you prefer writing short stories instead of writing a novel?

Well, they're shorter. And I think they're a great way to practice, experiment and improve writing skills.

My F5 (m)

1) Who would rank as your all-time favorite actor?

Mickey Rourke. Not that he’s overly talented but I think he’s good and so sexy.

2) What was the last thing you purchased that you really didn't need?

I’m always buying cans of soup, even though I have enough to last me through WWIII.

3) When did you learn to drive a car and who taught you?

I was 16 years old, and my step-dad did this one day lesson thing. My first car was a stick-shift and he took me to this hill, stuck me behind the wheel and made me practice until I figured the clutch thing out. It was rather scary!!!

4) How do you plan your meals, by the week, on the spot or something else?

By the week for the most part. Since we’ve following a strict soup and salad or salad and Lean Cuisine dinner thing, it’s easy to plan-LOL.

5) Why do you prefer writing short stories instead of writing a novel?

I like the fact that short stories can be completed in a relatively short time whereas a novel could take years and years.

Speaking of Robin Williams (m)

Have you had a chance to see Insomnia yet? It was quite a different role for him, but he did a fantastic job!

My FF

1) Who would rank as your all-time favorite actor? Well hmm I hate to copy Heather's anwser but I would have to say Robin Williams. The way he can be all of those characters with out losing his mind is unbelievable.

2) What was the last thing you purchased that you really didn't need?

a dress

3) When did you learn to drive a car and who taught you?

high school and my brother

4) How do you plan your meals, by the week, on the spot or something else?

On the spot tell we have a family

5) Why do you prefer writing short stories instead of writing a novel?

Well I am currently doing both but I love short stories because they don't have to be a certin length and when I want the story end it is done, no wondering where I can add pages to make it as long as other novels

Have a mystical day,

Jade

Five!

1) Who would rank as your all-time favorite actor? Cary Grant - no question. Sexy, suave, and he made a ton of movies.

2) What was the last thing you purchased that you really didn't need? Yesterday I bought two shirts.

3) When did you learn to drive a car and who taught you? My folks started teaching me when I was 14.

4) How do you plan your meals, by the week, on the spot or something else? On the spot.

5) Why do you prefer writing short stories instead of writing a novel? I don't want to tackle a novel until I feel my writing skills are up to snuff.

5 on Sunday (where is everyone?!)

1) Who would rank as your all-time favorite actor? Anthony Hopkins. I think he's brilliant.

2) What was the last thing you purchased that you really didn't need? Other than candy ... not much. I bought a CD recently but there was of course a burning need for it. Ooh. Maybe I should go shopping. Good idea.

3) When did you learn to drive a car and who taught you? I learned twice--once in England, but didn't drive much, and then when I came to the States. Both at relatively advanced ages by US standards.

4) How do you plan your meals, by the week, on the spot or something else? My idea of meal planning is to ask whoever is home if they're hungry and if they're not, we have cheese sandwiches. I always buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts when they're on sale and freeze them, so I have a lot of them.

5) Why do you prefer writing short stories instead of writing a novel? Who said I did? I enjoy the economy of short stories, of having to say something in a paragraph rather than sprawling it around. But it's not easier, except for the editing stage where you don't have to wade thru nearly so much material.

Here's mine.(m)

1) Who would rank as your all-time favorite actor?

Robin Williams

2) What was the last thing you purchased that you really didn't need?

Umm, a bag of Hershey mini chocolate bars about an hour ago.

3) When did you learn to drive a car and who taught you?

My brother tried to teach me and I almost drove us into a bridge abutment. He was too scared to even yell at me. So I took driver's ed in high school.

4) How do you plan your meals, by the week, on the spot or something else?

Usually a week to a month at a time -- not meal by meal, just buy what sounds good and then eat it when I want to.

5) Why do you prefer writing short stories instead of writing a novel?

Since I've only written a novella, and really enjoyed it, I'm not sure I do--LOL.

Oh, beaux. I love RW.(m)

I can't think of another actor (well, maybe Robert Deniro, whom I also love) that can have me rolling on the floor with laughter in one film, and reduce me to tears in another.
