Monday's Moans or Moments (m)
Sometimes you just need to vent a little and you'll feel better or you're having one of those special moments in your life and you want to share it with your pals. Well, here's the place.
We're listening!!!

Just a silly little moan.(m)
Am I getting old, or does the heat and humidity bother everyone? It's 84 degrees and about 80% humidity here today, and I just felt like I was smothering until I could get home to my air conditioning.
Oh well, I guess if that's the worst thing I've got to gripe about, I'm doing better than I thought.

Wanna trade for 1%25 humidity and 90+ degrees? (m)
*best TV announcer voice* Welcome to sunny Utah, where the high desert heat will have you feeling like a shedding rattlesnake in no time! LOL (bring your own moisturizer, at least a gallon)

A moment, yes another one involving DD (m)
Yesterday at lunch she gets all serious and says in as grown-up a voice as a 4-year old can muster, "Mom, is it ok if I ask you something?"
I'm thinking it's about her dad, since we're divorced and I've encouraged her to talk about her feelings. So I say, "Sure, what is it, hon?" and put on my best listening face, hoping I'm ready for whatever she's going to throw at me.
"Do you know how to make cornbread?" she says, very solemnly.
"Sure," I say, trying not to bust out laughing. (whew!) We're going to make some tomorrow.
Heather
No, you're not getting old (m)
When the humidity and heat levels are that high, I think it bothers all of us. I know it does me.
Mac
Too cute, Heather (m)
What an innocent question!!! I bet you were sweating it, thinking what in the world is she going to ask. You should send that into Reader's Digest. I can't recall the section but it's something about things kids say.
Mac
Ok I have a moan... 2 actually
First off: Colorado is on fire due to a FS person stuggling with her life and EX hubby. This fire is up to 103,000 acres and still growing. And now the wind has shifted sending the smoke our way. I can't step out side without having my asthma act up.
my second moan is the my DH is in Calf. for a class and I miss the big lug. The house and the critters are not the same when he is gone. Try sleeping when the cat yowls like she is looking for him.
Well that it here.
Jade
Have a mystical day,
Jade

Oh Jade (m)
I hope that fire doesn't get too close to you. From the things I've seen on TV, it must be so scary to have a fire like that anywhere near.
I know exactly what you mean about the critters. When I'm gone, my hubby says our dogs (the cats don't give a darn) act like that. I'm sure your hubby will be happy you missed him though.
Hang in there,
Mac
Jade I hope the fire's contained soon! (m)
I've got family in the Denver area, they've told me how terrible it's been. I saw on the news last night that the woman who started it was a former firefighter for the FS! How ironic is that? Anyway, I hope you're feeling better soon and that CO gets some much needed rain.
Hugs, Heather
LOL heather,(m)
my ex-hubby worked at the China Lake Naval Weapons Center in the middle of the Mojave desert when we first got married. I loved it. I agree about the buckets of moisturizer, but if this wasn't the ozarks, sometimes I think I'd trade the "can't get rid of your sweat" humidity for a little of that dry air -- heheheh.
