I've been looking forward to this board. I'm in my 4th day of the SBD and I think today is the worst. I'm craving salty snacks really bad. Like potato chips and cheese nip crackers. I have cabbage and a ground beef patty for lunch. Not very appealing but healthy.

Anyway, thanks for getting this board up and running and I'm sure there'll be a lot of posters in no time.

Thank you so much for putting up this board!! I'm very excited because I'm into day 11 of the SB diet and now I can come to a place where we can share experiences, answers to questions, advice, etc. My advice to cmjoyce about the salty cravings is to eat a little bit of saurkraut or something tangy like that. That's what I did to combat those salty cravings. I've lost over 6 lbs. thusfar and feel great.

I have a question about food items such as olives and dill pickles. Are they allowed? How about in Phase 1?

Thank you!

Greetings everyone! I have been waiting for this board and so happy to have found it! I read and started a trial run of SBD the week before I went on vacation and lost about 5 lbs (of course I gained it back while on vacation!) Since being back I have been on the plan for 8 days now and am down 6 lbs!

Olives and pickles are ok and they are great for salt cravings!

Good luck to all!

Hi Sanzi,

Welcome....:)

Yes...olives and Pickles are allowed on Phase 1,but remember that they are loaded with

sodium. So eat them sparingly. Drink plenty of water to flush out that sodium.

Thanks for the warm welcome Michelle. I know I'll enjoy posting here.

Thanks for the saurkraut tip Judith. I love saurkraut. And thanks for the info on olives and pickles Sandra. I'm not a big olive fan but I do love pickles.

I went home yesterday and ate some pork rinds and the crunchy, salty snack helped me a lot. I'm hanging in there, started day 5 today, and looking forward to sharing with all of you, our highs and lows.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first weigh in posting.

sw 148.50
cw 138.50
lw 143.50
gw 115

I am very happy because I lost 5 lbs. this week. I was real careful about what I ate - started eating yogurt as a snack, and was on the treadmill every morning at 5am and two days this week after work. I am so full of energy - I have been able to get so much done in the house and just feel great. I hope I keep it up.

Good Luck

Thank you so much, its been a hard day two I can tell you that. Its not even the food choices its the stress at work and wanting to grab a soda, grabbing the cookies in the kitchen for all staff, sometimes I just get sad, bored, angry and I want to eat. The hard part is questing myself, why do you want to eat that cookie, stick to your two weeks, stick with it. Sometimes I think I have no will power.
