Hello,

I'm your Community Leader for the SBD. I'm so happy that this board is up

and ready to go. I want to make yourself at home and lets' get to know each other.

I'll start first...my name is Michelle,39 years old and I am married to a wonderful

man name Richard and 3 beautiful children. I have been on the SBD for 12 weeks and lost

29 lbs.

Hi Michelle and everybody else! Let me officially introduce myself...my name is Judy and I am 53 years old. I'm married to my soul mate Charlie and we have 5 children and 7 1/2 grandchildren. The 8th grandchild will be here in December. (Before you faint, this is our second marriage each - he had 3 children and I had 2). I have been on the SB diet since July 7th and have lost approx. 6 lbs. so far. I'm very excited about having this board up and running and I am hoping I can find the support I'll need to succeed in my journey. I'd like to lose 30 lbs. by October. Michelle, do you have any advice/suggestions/etc. for me since you have been on the diet so much longer than me?

Hi Judith,

My advice is to plan...so that when you feel a slip coming on. You know where to slip

to. Drink your water,take your vitamins. And always come here for support,and encouragment.

I know the first 2 weeks are the hardest..but remember,it's only 2 weeks. After that Phase 2 comes in and it gets so much better.

Hi everyone! My name is Sandra, I turn 41 next month, I have two little ones, Emily who turns 5 in October and Ian turns 3 in September. I have been on SBD for 8 days and am down 6 lbs - I have about 15 or so lbs to lose.

I do 20 minutes of interval cardio every other day - earlier this year I did body for life and body Rx (both programs into heavy weight training) and though I built up some good muscle I didn't burn fat as much as I would have liked and I burned out a bit on the weight training so I am giving that a rest for a while.

I am really happy that this board is finally up! I am a memeber at SDB.com but am not happy with their board.

WOW! Michelle congrats on the big loss!

Hello Michelle, Judith and Sandra. I'm very happy to be a part of this community. My name is Debra, I'm 44 and got married to a wonderful man, Charlie, last November after being together for 25 years. (It takes some people longer I guess LOL) I have 1 son, 1 step-daughter and 4 step-grandchildren. I live in the mountains of western North Carolina and sit on my rear all day working as an administrative assistant. I started the SBD this past Monday so I'm on day 5. I'm going to wait until next Monday to weigh, which is a hard thing for me. I'm addicted to the scales, used to weigh every day, but I want to be pleasantly suprised (I hope) after completing week 1 on the SBD. I'm looking forward to becoming friends with all of you fellow SBDers.

Hi my name is Diane, I am soon to be 41 on the 28th of July and thought that I would buy the SBD book as a birthday present to myself. I have around 100 pounds to lose and thought that this program seemed the most realistic to live with. I am going to get the book today and read it over the weekend. Looking forward to the journey.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Donna. I'll be 42 on Labor Day, and I live in Sacramento, CA.

I've lost 20lbs on Atkins since January, but I stalled about 6 weeks ago, so I've been trying to figure out if I should try another program.

I switched to SBD this Tuesday, July 15. I've had a nice loss, but I'll keep my lips sealed, since I have a BAD habit of weighing myself EVERY DAY. I'll post an update after two weeks.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi all! I'm Courtney and I'm 28. I'm married and have a beautiful DD who will be 4 in September. I lost 40 lbs on WW a couple of years ago and kept it off pretty well until the last year. I gained 18 back and decided I better do something now before it get's out of control. For some reason, as well as I did on WW, I just could not get back into the swing of things. I'm hoping SBD will work well for me. I'm on day 5 of phase 1 and I'm down 3 lbs so far! Still have 30 to go!

Welcome!! I'm so glad you here. I'll do my best to answer all your questions as best as I can. I'm still learning too,even though I'm in Phase 2.

WElcome Courtney to SBD!!!

Courtney I too lost weight with WW..but I gaimed some not all back. I then was going to get back to WW,until I saw a promo that came in the mail. I thought finally a diet that will show me how to eat.

I lost 29 lbs in 12 weeks,I lost what I gained with WW and then some.

We look forward to seeing you post here...:)

Thank you so much for starting this board!!

I'm Cathy, 43 years old, and the mother of a budding teen....talk about wanting to stress eat! LOL! I've lost over 100 pounds on Weight Watchers over the past 18 months, then haven't been able to drop an ounce since. I'm at 155 pounds now and want to get to at least 145 pounds, possibly 140, but I'll see once I get to 145. I've read the SBD book and will start in the morning.
