Today is my 2nd day on the SBD. So far so good! I did try it about a month ago and lost 5lbs the first week but then hit a wall and stopped. I bought Dr. Phil's new book though and it really seems to be helping to focus me on WHY I eat like I do. It's a no BS approach for sure.
I did Atkins last year so this is a little getting used to for me. It's hard to get out of that Atkins way of thinking about carbs.
I'm Tammy by the way, I have 4 kids and have been struggling with my weight since I got pregnant with the first one so it's been a 11 year struggle. I have managed to take off some weight in the last two years but i'm a carb junkie so i'm trying to get that out of my system. I have put back on about 10lbs that I lost so i'm a little disappointed but i'm going to do it this time. I have a webpage on this site if anyone is interested.
BTW- the BEST chocolate in the world for low carbing...Pure Delite Dark Chocolate. I ate those on Atkins for chocolate cravings. you can by them on the web but I get them at a health food store. IT's SO GOOD. Sugar free and 1.2 net carbs I believe. You'll never be able to tell the difference it's that good and i've given pieces out to people and they have no idea! Try it if you want too. Less damage then regular chocolate. Ok i'm babbling and I have to pack! TTYL

Welcome back to the Beach! It sounds like you are really motivated this time around, I'm sure you will do great.
I think getting over the Adkins mind-set will really help you enjoy this plan so much more. Enjoy those veggies - they are not evil, LOL :)....
Ok, I am Susan, mom to 9 year old boy and 7 year old girl. I never had to diet in my life till I had kids (gained 50 pounds with each preg and never lost all of it with the last one!). I did WW a couple of years ago and did great. Then my family and I moved cross country and left the WW way of life far behind. Recently found out I have high cholesterol :( and decided to try SBD to get it under control as well as loose about 10 pounds.
That's enough about me, whew!
BTW, what are you packing for?
