Yesterday for breakfast I ate... An egg mixed with the acceptable veggies...luch i ate the tuna greek salad in the book....for dinner i made some beef stew with lots of the veggies that were ok....snack I had a string cheese.

Today so far for breakfast I had a western omlet...lunch i made a lean burger with mushrooms and onion. all on a bed of lettuce with two slices of tomatoe and then i sauteed some cabbage and put a little of cottage cheese in it. I feel like i'm eating way to much for this diet? I can eat a whole lot more but it jsut looks like to much for a diet. For dinner I plan on having the same stew I had last night and possible one of those ricatta cheese desert. I drink tea and Crystal Lite.

Am I doing ok or am I eating meat too much? SHould I jsut stick to like a salad for much and a meat dish for dinner? I'm trying to mix and match using a lot of veggies in any given dish i make but I'm afraid I'm over doing it!

Help!!

Hi, Chris - It doesn't appear to be overdoing. Tuna is approved, and beef stew meat generally is lean. What do your portions look like?

This WOE is very filling; on Phase I, eating all the right stuff and including proper snacks and H2O, I was finding myself stuffed, almost to the point where I thought about skipping snacks. Glad I didn't!

I had the same reaction after my first two days! I called sister asking her if I was doing it right! She told me to keep in mind the veggies were lower in calories, and it just seemed like I was eating tons of food! So, I stuck with it. 14.5 LBS lighter since 9/8/03. Keep on eating!

Hi Chris,

It sounds to me like you're doing great. I know it's hard to believe you can eat that much and still lose weight. I was at a point where I would almost starve myself and not lose a pound before this. My only thought about your menu is that I wouldn't have put the cottage cheese in the cabbage. Cottage cheese is a protein and you already had the burger. Just seems like a lot of protein. That's just my opinion. Vegetable soups are my lifesaver. I am sipping a cup of Zucchini Cilantro soup right now. Yum!
