Where's the sugar-free fudgecicles?

I've checked 4 local grocery stores and none have "sugar-free" fudgecicles - only "no added sugar" (which are still low in carbs and sugar). I know some of you have found them - at first I thought they just had to change the name due to lactose sugar being sugar. 3 of the 5 major groceries have no such thing in my area (midwest). Any ideas?

Hi,

Just to let you know - the store I always buy my Sugar-free Fudgesicles at were out of them this week. The 2nd grocery store I always use were also out of them. With a blank space where they should have been stocked. I think there is a run on these (Is everyone on this diet????). If we can't get our fudgesicles there could be a revolt!!! LOL.

Have some sugar-free jello. I know, not the same. Maybe Mocha Ricotta?

Good Luck!

I know for myself and I have read this of a lot of people too --- we cannot find sugar free fudgsicles --- we buy the no sugar added. This is even true on the South Beach Diet web page.

Hi,

The box of Fudgesicles I usually buy in New Jersey says "Sugar-Free" and they are 30 calories each. All of my local grocery stores are "SOLD OUT". I bought "No Sugar Added Dole Fruit Bars" but have been afraid to eat them. They have 30 calories each, but 7 g of Total Carbs - 2 g. sugar - 2g. sugar alcohol. Is this okay? And, BTW, they are fat free.

Help

Well this whole topic had me panicking for a few minutes! The fudgesicles I have been eating are (alas) "No sugar added," which I thought was the same as "sugar free."

After reading the label, I think they are probably OK.

No added sugar is still pretty darned low in sugar...it doesn't look any worse than the salad dressing or the low-fat cheese.

No wonder --- you must have one of the few stores in the United States that sell sugar free --- no wonder they are out of them :)!!!!!!!!

I have not ever been able to find them up here in MA. I eat the no sugar added Dole Fruit Bars. Personnaly, I have not had any problems with either of them - the no sugar added fudgsicles/fruit bars.

They are flying off the shelves where I live too --- my store I go grocery shopping in has not had any in a couple of weeks.

I live in Canada (Toronto), and I encountered the same problem. I couldn't find them anywhere! I used to love the fat free fudgsicles, but I had yet to see sugar free.

After a couple weeks I found some at a higher end grocery store (Brunos for any of you Toronto folk). They are made by Tofutti and are 30 calories each and are also dairy free (www.tofutti.com). The texture is really good, almost like a pudding pop. They are no sugar added, but the sugar in them is so minimal I'm sure it isn't negatively affecting anything. The only catch? The price! Seems every product that is deemed good for you is marked up ridiculously. They were $7.50 CDN for a box of 12 I think. And each one is like half of a regular fudgsicle.

I would buy them again in a second though :)

I found some Blue Bunny fudgesicles that are made with Splenda instead of sugar at Wal-Mart. They're really good, but the store has trouble keeping them in stock because so many people buy them!

KIMMIE~

I have to tell you, there is a big difference in *Sugar Free* and *NO Sugar Added*...

I found this out by studying teh labels and talking to an expert on SBD....

So, be careful...

Just for the record, I cannot find Sugar Free ANYWHERE....DAMMIT!

So what did the same the problem was? I looked in the grocery store and they are still very low sugar and carbs. Is there something else in them that makes them a bad choice?

Thanks for the tip.
