Did I do something wrong today?

I am looking for some reassurance. I am on day 10 P1, and have lost 10 lbs!!. I overcame my carb cravings early on. But, today I had some trouble. I had the spinach quiche cups for breakfast with V-8, a cheese stick snack, and 3 ham & turkey roll-ups (with veggies) for lunch, followed by sugar-free jello. I excercised today, and drank water. By mid-afternoon, I was VERY tired, so I took a short nap. When I awoke, I felt that old, familiar hypo-glycemic feeling. I tried not to succumb to the oreo that was calling me. Instead, I had celery with peanut butter - regular peanut butter, and probably too much of it. Did I do something wrong??? I would greatly appreciate some advise or insight so that I can prevent this from happening again. Thanks!

You only "did something wrong" if you had too much peanut butter. Do you know exactly how much you had, or do you know how much it looked like? I wouldn't get worried over a one-day slip up - you ate pretty good stuff, even the jarred PB, just maybe a little more than called for in Phase I.

You're doing great!

Hi! I had about 2 Tbs. or more, which is about 7 grams carb. Any thoughts as to why I had that hypo-glycemic feeling?? I have been doing great for the last 10 days, with no other slip-ups?! Thanks for your input!

No help there, sorry. Is it your TOM? Do you work out, and could you have worked out a little harder maybe the day before or earlier in the day? Could be anything, or nothing at all. I did have a little trouble about midway through Phase I with my usual workouts and had to scale back on amounts of weights, especially upper body, and slow the speed on my treadmill a bit so I didn't get that light-headed feeling. It did pass, though, and I'm back to the normal workout. I've been on Phase II for just under a week and I still haven't added a wide variety of carbs back in - there's enough body fluff to live off of for a while - but that fuzzy feeling hasn't returned.

Hope you feel better. You're so close to Phase II, and you're doing great.

Karen,

First of all, congratulations for starting and remaining on the right track. Just an idea--you might want to check your jello. When I went to the store (and i don't know what i was thinking) I accidentally picked up the jello that said fat free all over it instead of sugar free. (Just in case you're wondering, I think all Jello is fat free.) For two days, i was merrily eating it and thinking it was awfully good. And then I realized. Otherwise, keep it up.

Hope
