I lost 13lbs in the first 2 weeks and was really happy. I'm know just going into week 6 and can't seem to lose anymore. In total i have lost 20lbs, i only have 5 left to lose but cant. i do 30 minutes cycling and 20 mins weights most days. i have not been hungry recently so a regular day is, decaf tea, small salad and an omelette with chix, onion and cheese. i am also just drinking water. i dont know what else to do as i am already only eating one meal a day and exercising. any advice would be great.!! i have 3 weeks left until i go on holiday and would love to lose those extra lbs by then.

Hi, I know what plateauing is,as I been there for 3 weeks, after being on Phase 2 for 3 weeks. Its nothing to worry about its the bodys way of resting after a great loss. I want to congratulate you on this wonderful 20 pounds gone. You want to know WHY your plateauing???Your eating ONE MEAL a day. The body doesn't have enough fuel you must feed it 3 squares a day and 2 snacks in between,in order to lose weight, that unhealthy what you are doing. You'll see once you start eating again the body will let go the last couple of pounds. Good Luck Maryann

That's the weird and wonderful thing about this WOE. You rarely feel hungry (that's the wonderful part), and as a result may not think you need to eat. It's not just a new way of eating, it's a new way of perceiving food - not for its entertainment, comfort or social value, but simply as fuel for your body, as it was intended.

I think we should try to take a lesson from little kids - they eat when they're hungry, grazing through the day on small amounts. They need to be guided to the best food choices (requiring parents with infinite patience to keep trying to get them to choose the good stuff most often) and that's where things can get dicey, especially as kids get older and more opinionated about what they like and don't like or are more exposed to the junk that gets pushed through television, through vending machines, or on the lower shelves at the grocery stores.

Just food for thought on a Friday afternoon after lunch....
