Since starting this diet I haven't been well...ummm....pooping as much. Actually I've only gone once and it's day 4 for me. I often feel like i need to but just haven't and can't. I've been using the medimucil before every meal so you'd think that would help but nope. Heck, when i do go, I'll probabaly lose some serious LBS!!!

You are too funny and are correct....

I do NOT go like I use to at all...and it makes me bloated and full. I have even tried Fibercon but not much luck....

What to do....?

Oh my gosh! I have been trying to figure out a way of asking the "poop" question for days now. I'm on day five and it isn't any easier. I will try posting the question on the Phase two board.

I haven't had a problem with the pooping thing. Isn't it funny to see grown women and men writing poop? Geeze, maybe I have been working around kids for too long. POOP!

Anyhow, have you tried eating black beans or spicy things??? I try to add crush red pepper or jalepenos if I can, but you might not like spicy things. Hmmmm... if you eat salads, you might try the mixed bag of radiccio and romaine. lots of fiber! If it's ok, may I ask what kind of veggies you are eating? I've noticed people like Mary Ann, Alison, Ellen, etc. are great at adding and deleting suggestions to help. JMHO.

I went ot see my doc about this today and she aid lots of h2o and possibly some colace but things should regulate soon..i hope.

I use a product called Ultimate Cleanse. It is herbs and fiber. I get it at the health food store, and it works. It has nothing bad in it!

And I have had the opposite problem!!! ROFL

Are you eating lots of veggies? If you are still having problems, using ground flax seeds works wonders and is completely natural!

I agree with Jackie. I eat the Uncle Sam's cereal (I am on "maintenance", I lost all my weight so now I am on a WOE) which has 10gms of fiber. The box tells you it is a natural laxitive and guess what? They are right!!!!!!!!!!! It has whole flax seeds in it and it is yummy, if you add 1 splenda packet. Give it a try if your not on phase one.

I have been on SBD since 9/8/03 and am in phase 2 right now. During phase 1, I also only had a formed BM every 4-5 days. The rest of the time it was ummmmmm like (whispering)mucous. And practically every time I went to the potty it happened. Now I am in phase 2 and eating grains and am back to having normal BM's (plus I added flax seeds to my diet, but no metamucil cuz I wasn't constipated). Except now they float !!!! I have heard that is a sign you are getting enough fiber :) .
