I think we need a section for a product review. Yes, I've been peeping in on other boards, and the product review section is kinda neat. What do you think?

No, because if you read the book, Dr. A advises you to stay away from bad carbs (processed foods). He encourages eating certain whole natural foods, good carbs (fruits, vegtables and whole grains), good fats, low fat dairy and cheese and lean meats.

He also states in the Book that "As a rule, low-fat prepared foods can be a bad idea-the fats are replaced with carbs, which are fattening".

The South Beach Diet is not based upon any low-fat, low-carb products, but a more natural wholesome way of eating based on his concepts, one of which is how certain foods affect your blood chemistry.

I feel the Recipe Section on this Board is sufficient.

Great points! I am aware of the SBD philosophy... I was thinking more along the lines of things like different brands of grain flour (soy, wheat, etc), nut butters (almond, cashew, peanut, etc), different veggies or where you found them, Soy products, etc... you guys know, places to find the different things.

Ps... I've read the book several times as well. WHEW. I've asked lots of question as well. Thank goodness my sister introduced me to this WOE. I was eating WAY too many processed things, refined sugars, and now, I eat different!:) We are a great support for each other, and we trade ideas.
